About — Phrason

Most phrasal verb lists ask you to memorize pairs of words with no context — "look" plus "after," "look" plus "into," "look" plus "up." Phrason starts from the other direction: pick a world you're curious about — the space race, the ocean floor, the planet's most extreme places — and the phrasal verbs you need show up naturally, the way they would in a real article, email or conversation about that subject.

Every theme is built around the same four skills — Reading, Listening, Writing and a Level Test — so once you know how Phrason works in one world, you already know how it works everywhere else.

Part of a bigger system

Phrason is one site inside the Phrasaly ecosystem, alongside FlipVerbs, SwapVerbs, Flowglish and WeeklyCross — each one built around a different way of practicing phrasal verbs. Together, they cover recognition, production, register, pronunciation and play.

Context first

Phrasal verbs are taught the way they're actually used, never in isolation.

Built for every level

Each theme scales from basic to advanced, so there's always a next step.

Exam-aware

Exercise formats echo real proficiency exams, so practice here counts.
